Fall brings cooler temperatures, changing leaves and of course, the new fall line-up for television stations. Many of you may have noticed recent promo’s on CBS regarding a new medical drama “Three Rivers” which will air on October 4, 9/8 CT. The drama will bring Donation and Transplantation to the forefront, and you may receive additional questions regarding the industry. NATCO is pleased that transplant is being discussed and brought to the public through this venue, but would like to notify our members that you may receive additional questions from your patients and donor families regarding the Hollywood spin on donation and transplantation that will be portrayed through this series. Discussion Forum NATCO has set up a Instant Forum section on the website under the member’s only section for our members entitled “Hollywood and Media’s Influence.” This will provide an area to reach out to other coordinators regarding the questions posed by their patients or donor families. For more information on the medical drama Three Rivers, visit the CBS website at: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/three_rivers/

| It makes me nervous that something on television that has little basis in reality could potentially influence viewers decisions to donate.......no other medical shows have directed their attention at one specific topic, so every single week transplant will be in the spot light, good and bad........ a lot of lives depend on how they present what we live every single day.
