Be among the first to meet our new SimMan®! NATCO invites you join us for an exciting interactive day-long workshop that will include both didactic and hands-on experience with our Laerdal SimMan®! We are excited to augment our educational offerings with a high-fidelity Human Patient Simulator. There is growing support in the literature that suggests the benefits of simulation in critical care education. This new technology simulates a standard ICU monitor and permits interaction and interventions in real-time. Each session with SimMan® will be digitally recorded and used to augment the debriefing process. The following is just some of what can be expected:
• Donor Physiology
• Hemodynamic Monitoring
• Resuscitation of the Organ Donor
• Ventilator & Lung Recruitment Strategies
• Chest X-Ray Interpretation
• 12-Lead EKG
A combination of experienced organ procurement professionals and critical care physicians will be your facilitators for this workshop. Our first offering with SimMan is planned at the 35th Annual Meeting in Hollywood, FL. We are planning to have a Donor Management Pre-Conference Workshop. Registration information will be coming out soon. Additionally, there will be sessions within the meeting itself.
