This week I was speaking with our heart transplant coordinator and epidemiology coordinator about if there were any specific protocols in place if a transplant patient were to come to our emergency department.  I was wondering if anyone had a policy for either immunosuppressed patients or transplant patients in the E.R., and if so, was the process hard to implement?
