| Hi There, I'd love to hear what different organizations are doing for family mementos. We currently offer "model magic" handprints to organ donor families. For our tissue donor families we have handprint kits, with paint supplied and ask the Funeral Homes to make them. Does anyone do anything different? Has anyone used the new inkless handprint wipes? Will they work for adults too? Where can you get them? Let me know please, Thanks!

| Our FSCs vary somewhat in our practice and we tailor the mementos to the unique characteristics of the family. Most offer one or more of the following: memory box, NKF literature (bd brochure, brochures related to loss, DCD, etc.), donor medallion, handprints and hairlocks. I personally do handprints the old fashioned way....ink on white paper. I usually do the donor's handprint on one side of the paper and offer the family member the opportunity to put their handprint on the other side of the paper. This is a very effective way to engage younger children in memory-making. We have frames available at MTN so we can put them in a frame to present to the family. Some of the other coordinators use the magic ink/paper. I will post the company contact info when back at the office.
