Currently she works as an outpatient transplant dietitian at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, working primarily with liver transplant and lung transplant patients. Amy is passionate about improving transplant access for patients with obesity.

This presentation explores how anti-obesity medications (AOMs) can help patients with obesity meet eligibility criteria for organ transplantation. Participants will review FDA-approved obesity medications, including their indications, contraindications, and expected weight-loss outcomes. The session will also highlight the important role of the registered dietitian in supporting patients on AOM therapy through nutrition counseling and side-effect management. Finally, a real-world example will demonstrate how anti-obesity medication management can be integrated into transplant center care to expand transplant access.
