Megan Marie A. Flores, MS, RD, CCTD, CSOWM.
Megan Flores has quickly become an influential leader at Banner University Medical Center–Phoenix, where she serves as Lead Transplant Dietitian. She has developed standardized transplant nutrition pathways, created system-wide patient education videos and materials, and established Arizona’s first Nutrition-Focused Solid Abdominal Transplant Support Group. She was also instrumental in launching a transplant patient food pantry and was named ASU’s Preceptor of the Year for her mentorship.
Megan is an active educator and speaker, presenting at the NATCO Nutrition Conference, the American Liver Foundation, and regional transplant and nephrology meetings. She also contributes to transplant research, including the development of a novel Transplant Nutrition Index to identify malnutrition and frailty.

This webinar reviews current macro- and micronutrient recommendations based on ASMBS guidelines for patients following metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS), with a focus on those who have undergone or are preparing for solid organ transplantation. Participants will explore the unique nutrition considerations at the intersection of MBS and transplant care and learn practical strategies to optimize nutrient intake, ensure adequacy, and prevent deficiencies in this complex patient population.

Continuing Education: NATCO will award continuing education certificates to participants who attend this webinar. CE records are maintained by the NATCO Executive Office for a period of seven years. This program has been approved by the American Board for Transplant Certification for 1.0 Category 1 CEPTC. Each program will also offer 1 Registered Dietitian CPEU, approved by CDR, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Members may register at no cost. There is a fee of $35.00 for non-members.
We encourage your organization to register as a group. You may have an unlimited number of attendees per connection. Please designate one person as the group leader. Only the group leader registers. The group leader will be responsible for verifying the attendance of members of the group for the purpose of distributing CE credits.
