Accurate and objective assessment of functional status and frailty in transplant candidates is an area of interest in the transplant community. Poor functional status at the time of transplant is correlated to poor transplant outcomes including increased LOS, DGF or graft loss, discharge to SNF and mortality. Clinicians acknowledge the importance of functional status and frailty on transplant outcomes.
